About us
WindBASE helps developers, OEMs and contractors make safer and smarter foundation decisions: reducing material use and increasing execution certainty in onshore wind projects worldwide.
With 40+ years of Dutch engineering expertise and long-term involvement across the full project lifecycle, our foundation solutions have been applied to over 6,000 turbines in 40+ countries. See our Projects.
Our involvement often extends beyond design.
Our involvement doesn’t end with design delivery. We stay actively involved through execution, supporting constructability, quality assurance and on site risk management. This allows us to take responsibility for how foundation decisions perform in practice and to develop project specific solutions into scalable concepts for larger wind energy portfolios.
How we work: Triple-S
Our engineers design wind turbine foundations in a wide range of international project contexts. This is what we do every day, whereas others may do so only occasionally. We challenge assumptions early, ask critical questions and look beyond standard solutions, starting from the real project conditions rather than a default answer.
To do this consistently, WindBASE works according to three principles. They help us avoid late-stage surprises, unnecessary material use and avoidable risk during construction, and they guide our choices in design, verification and execution.
| Sustainable | Strong | Smart |
|---|---|---|
| Minimize material use and apply resources responsibly, without compromising safety or quality. | Design based on actual structural behavior, ensuring predictable performance and robustness in real-world conditions. | Make well-informed decisions using specialist knowledge, data-driven models and practical experience, choosing what is right for each project. |
Part of ABT.
WindBASE is the wind energy brand of ABT, a Dutch engineering company that is part of the Oosterhoff ecosystem; a network of specialised advisory and engineering firms. This gives us both the focus of a specialist team and the multidisciplinary strength of a larger organisation.
Working this way, we can align stakeholders across countries and project contexts, while keeping decisions focused on the project’s best outcome.
