Onshore wind is a collaborative effort.
Reliable and sustainable foundation solutions keep projects moving with confidence. Especially now, as developers worldwide face rising cost pressure, technical uncertainty and increasing sustainability demands.
Our engineers design wind turbine foundations every day and know that early foundation decisions shape how a project is built, performs, and can be scaled.
WindBASE supports developers, OEMs and contractors across the full project lifecycle, from early development through execution.
We work in relationship-driven international markets, alongside local advisors and global partners across the onshore wind value chain. Helping to deliver foundations with lower costs, greater certainty and a smaller carbon footprint.
Services
Across more than 6,000 foundations in 40+ countries, we have shown that smarter foundation decisions can reduce concrete and steel use and improve execution confidence. Typically around 60 tonnes of CO₂ reduction per foundation.
In these projects, our role isn’t defined by deliverables alone. It’s defined by our ownership of how foundation decisions perform in construction, safety and long‑term operation. We take on the role that best serves the project: whether as design engineer, independent reviewer, owner’s engineer or knowledge partner.
We do not design to simply meet standards.
What sets WindBASE apart is not only what we deliver, but how we stay involved from early decisions through execution support. With deep specialist expertise, our engineers design wind turbine foundations every day, building the kind of consistency others achieve only occasionally. We challenge assumptions early, ask critical questions, and look beyond standard solutions. Always starting from the real project challenge rather than an assumed answer.

Projects
Foundations for over 2800 wind turbines, 180 wind farms, 2600 MW of installed wind power in 27 countries. 80000 m3 of concrete and 12000 tons of steel saved, due to our advanced calculation techniques.
The Koraal Tabak wind farm on the island of Curacao is nearing completion. The last of the five Vestas V150 turbines has recently been erected. Windbase was responsible for the foundation design. During the construction phase, Windbase provided expert guidance on the foundations and steel components of the wind turbines.
About us
That’s why we treat design, contracting and construction as one connected system and stay involved across phases to identify and mitigate risk early.
WindBASE operates under NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 certified management systems, certified by Lloyd’s Register, and is a CO₂-neutral organisation (see certificates below).
